InfraCore® technology has been specially developed for heavy-load-bearing composite structures. The application possiblities of InfraCore® are many: composite bridges, composite traffic bridges (60 tons traffic) and composite lock gates. At the moment, quite a large number of composite (traffic) bridges have been built in The Netherlands.

InfraCore® has proven to be a important material for construction purposes. Compared to concrete and steel, InfraCore® is lightweight, sustainable and maintenance-free. InfraCore® therefore perfectly fits in strategies of sustainable procurement. Moreover, InfraCore® is price-competitive with concrete and steel at the moment.

FCE among winners AVK Innovation Award

FiberCore Europe is with her InfraCore Inside ® technology selected for the best three innovations of the German AVK Innovation Award 2011.

This election is for the category 'Environment'.

The AVK Innovation Award is to promote solutions for fiber-reinforced plastics in state-of-the-art technology. This to stimulate the performance of the industry and to highlight research in reinforced plastics.

The AVK is the German federation of FRP related industry and an authority on the subject. Its Innovation Award is considered very prestigious. FiberCore Europe is proud of this comfimation of her qualities of innovation . On September 26th 2011, the Awards will be handed out in Stutgard.
